Dr Kathryn Weston is the founder of Tooled Up Education. She holds a Law Degree from Queen’s University, Belfast and a Masters and Doctorate in Philosophy (Criminology) from the University of Cambridge. She was a policy and education researcher for over a decade and is the co-author of Engaging Parents (Bloomsbury, 2018;2022).

Dr Rhodes leads our research team and works with a vast network of researchers, academics, clinicians and organisations to ensure that the resources added to our site are evidence-based and of the highest quality. She holds a Doctorate from the University of Manchester.

Jenna is our research and administration officer, helping to ensure that every Tooled Up resource is rooted in reliable, up-to-date evidence. She completed her MPhil in Linguistics at the University of Cambridge with distinction and also holds award-winning undergraduate qualifications in Linguistics, German, English, and Chemistry. Her background spans academic research, editing, teaching and lecturing, all of which inform her clear approach to reviewing and synthesising the latest findings. She loves turning complex and wordy research into practical insights for families and educators.

Our associate, Dr Sophie Nesbitt is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and author of Hunger for Understanding and Emotion Regulation for Young People with Eating Disorders (for professionals) and What Does Eating Disorder Recovery Look Like? (for parents). Shirley Hayman is an Early Years Professional with over 32 years experience of working with children, establishing and leading departments in Independent schools. The last setting that she led was recognised as one of the top ten nurseries in the county of Hertfordshire. Shirley has mentored early years practitioners both in the workplace and during her time lecturing on the EYPS courses, having been one of the first teachers in the UK to achieve this recognition herself. Shirley enjoys giving early years educators and parents practical tools, tips and support so that children can thrive in all areas of their lives.

Dr Anna Conway Morris is a Consultant Child Psychiatrist and expert in neurodevelopmental conditions including ADHD. She has worked with several specialist ADHD clinics in Scotland (including with Dr David Coghill, a worldwide ADHD expert) before moving to Cambridge, England. Anna has worked as an NHS Consultant and is a published author. In 2020, she was selected Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists for her achievements in medical education. She is the co-founder of the Cambridge ADHD and Autism Centre and a regular contributor to the Tooled Up platform.

Trina is PA to the Directors and brings over 15 years of experience in education and senior-level support from outstanding schools. Skilled in pastoral care and safeguarding, and a former Deputy DSL, Trina combines her natural organisation skills with a genuine passion for helping young people thrive, making her an invaluable addition to the team.

Wayne has over 20 years’ of experience in Operations Management and leadership roles in multiple blue chip organisations. More recently, Wayne co-founded one of the country's leading digital fundraising platforms for schools and local authorities across the UK. Qualified in both Management Science (MSc) and with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, he oversees all technical, commercial, and operational aspects of Tooled Up.

Amanda is part of the customer team at Tooled Up, serving as a Relationship Manager. Having originally joined the team in early 2022, Amanda now works closely with schools to understand their priorities, support their ongoing needs, and ensure they are able to make the most of the resources and guidance we provide. Outside work, Amanda is a compassionate cancer survival supporter and the proud mother of a young daughter. Her unique blend of professional expertise and heartfelt advocacy makes her an invaluable asset to the Tooled Up team.

Alison joined Tooled Up in January 2020. Her role is to oversee the efficiency of all daily operations in Tooled Up and to manage the launch process for all organisations joining the Tooled Up community. Alison works to build and maintain a strong partnership with all of our subscribing organisations and makes sure that individual subscribers can find the support they need. Alison originally read for a BA in Music before qualifying and working in law for 10 years. She remains a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.

Coirle McDowell is a Relationship Manager in the customer team at Tooled Up. She is responsible for overseeing and strengthening our relationships with our customers, ensuring their needs are understood and met, and helping them get the greatest possible value and impact from our support. She holds a degree in Business Administration and French from Queen’s University Belfast and has extensive international experience within the media industry.

Seema has over 25 years' experience as a Business Consultant working across multiple sectors including retail, financial services, automotive, IT and telco. Her focus has been on the development of internal and external engagement solutions for UK and international companies to improve organisational performance. In addition to her work with TUE, she is also a member of the Board of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.

Sona has over 15 years' of experience in Human Resources across Retail, Investmentment Banking and Manufacturing industries. She holds a degree in International Business and French from Warwick University and oversees our internal HR and external HR partnership relationships at Tooled Up.

Shin runs Finance operations in Tooled Up and has extensive experience in financial management having held roles in multiple organisations ranging from start up organisations to international banking corporations.
